Innovative Indian!

Creativity is thinking up new things. Innovation is doing new things

It was a busy international airport. They had recently introduced free internet at the airport.

They had 4 computers at each browsing spot. I was watching the crowd catching up with their email and browsing the net. There were atleast 3 or 4 people waiting behind each internet user patiently (impatiently) waiting for their turn. One computer terminal was free. People would go to that terminal move the mouse around and found that the ball was missing inside the mechanical mouse, would go back to their queue a bit frustrated.

A couple of people who were not in the queue rushed to the vacant computer only to be disappointed that the mouse would not work. You could see the smile across the faces of he people waiting for their chance at the disappointed guys.

Then this simple looking guy (Indian) walked up to the vacant computer. He checked out and found that the mouse ball was missing. He looked around and could see the sarcastic smile of the travellers over there waiting for their chance. I could see a smile on his face. He kept his bag down, picked up the mouse with his left hand and with his right hand index finger started moving the mouse internal rollers to position his cursor and browse. I was happy and smiling when I saw the sarcastic smile being replaced by amazement and stupidity in the traveller's face who were waiting for so long.

I felt proud.

The key to success is often the ability to adapt

Nice post! Indians are made ever-ready for Plan B as things almost always don't go smooth like in the developed countries.

You can rephrase it, Indians can repair things while others can only replace it.
