AMMA -Something to share on Mother's day

My mom only had one eye. I hated her... she was such an embarrassment.
-
She cooked for students & teachers to support the family-
-
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me.
-
I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me?
-
I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.
-
The next day at school one of my classmates said,"EEEE, your mom only has one eye!"
-
I wanted to bury myself.I also wanted my mom to just disappear.
-
So I confronted her that day and said, " If you're only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?!!!"
-
My mom did not respond...
-
I didnt even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger.
-
I was oblivious to her feelings.
-
I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.
-
So I studied real hard, got a chance to go to Singapore to study.
-
Then, I got married.I bought a house of my own.I had kids of my own.
-
I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts
-
Then one day, my mother came to visit me.
-
She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren.
-
When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited.
-
I screamed at her, "How dare you come to my house and scare my children!"GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!"
-
And to this, my mother quietly answered, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared out of sight.
-
One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house in Singapore.
-
So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip.
-
After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.
-
My neighbors said that she died.
-
I did not shed a single tear.
-
They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.
-
"My dearest son,I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to Singapore and scared your children.
-
I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion.
-
But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.
-
I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.
-
You see........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye.
-
As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with one eye.
-
So I gave you mine.
-
I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye. -
With my love to you,
-
Your mother.

TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS :)

Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine
Teardrops in my eye
Country Roads, take me home
To the place I belong
Chennai
I have always loved this song especially when I am going back home
Job nearly over, hopefully by this weekend I will be home.
Need a real break(outdoor trip) before the kids go back to school
No computers, no net, no cellphones as there is no network over there
Time with the family getting my kids involved into something new that
they will enjoy for the rest of their life
So bloggers thank you for all those
interesting blogs, comments ... that kept me alive :)

When all eyes are on you, Wink :)

(Click on the monkey for further details)

How many times have i forgotten something crucial at the big moment?
I would have taken extra care assembling or getting my job/project perfect and when the final moment arrives, when it has to be running or shown as a demo i would forget something crucial. The whole process would be stopped and everyone's eyes are on me, ready to tear me apart. I used to feel bad, mumble a sorry, make a sad figure of myself and correct it. Till I met this friend gave me this advice never feel bad because of a silly mistake. When all eyes are on you, wink at them with a smile and say something funny, humorous & continue. Don't let yourself down and that's absolutely true.
When u see the Miss World competitions at times the competitors slip... but they make use of that extra attention and glide their way :)

Stroke signs thro email

Had seen this before, but not this clearly and not with the tip about sticking out the tongue.? Good to remember.

STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters...2006

?
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word, I agreed. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. Seriously . please read:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the afternoon. Ingrid's husband called later?saying that his wife had been taken to the hospital and passed away. She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some stroke victims?don't die, they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within three hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke . . . totally. He said the trick was having a stroke recognized, diagnosed and then getting the patient medically cared for within three hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE:

Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps.

Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.

T *Ask the person to TALK, to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE. (Coherently) (i.e. . . It is sunny out today)

R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue . if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

If he or she has trouble with any one of these tasks, call 911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

aA cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to ten people, you can bet at least one life will be saved.

Once in a life time :)

May 04, 2006 at 0102 hours and 03 seconds

01 - hour
02 - minutes
03 - seconds
04 - day
05 - month (May)
06 - year (2006)

Very unique, but just another second passing through.
If you are very superstitious well meet an astrologer and give him some money.
If you want to show it to your grandchildren then take a video with the time displaying on your screen.

have a good day.
